The first day of class in the our classroom.

On our first full day, with jet lag setting in, we embark on the beginning of the study portion of our study abroad. We attend our first day of class on the campus of Hamburg University. The university is known around the country for being one of the best in Germany. The campus is beautiful and is inspiring. Classes are held right in the middle of everything, the heart of the city, and home to over 16,800 students. We arrive in the morning and were greeted by a professor at the school. He instructs many classes on renewable fuels and power sources. He gave the class a speech on Germany's renewable energy problems and solutions. The speech was extremely informative and inclusive of all the various ways Germany is thinking of ways to save and produce energy. The presentation was a favorite by many because many students did reports on this subject before the class. Following the speech, we had a lunch as a class at the university's cafeteria. After lunch, we are informed and instructed on our first assignments with due dates approaching. All in all, the first day of class was filled with learning and hard work.
