Today my class and I got a good taste of what Germany has to offer. We started off our day by walking down the steps and taking a left toward the metro station. We then took the metro to HAW Hamburg, the local university, to get some valuable class time in. This time is very important, especially since it is the only reliable Wi-Fi. I used this Wi-Fi to the best of my ability to try and make the blog site working and presentable. I got a good deal of work done but I still had lots to do when we had to leave for lunch. On the bright side, the lunch at the cafeteria today was the best I had had up to that point. The pork steak and baked potato were fresh and delicious.
After returning to the hostel, the class got together and took the same steps down to the metro station but instead of taking a left to the metro we took a right to the water. We then got on a ferry to take us to where our next tour. The ferry ride was freezing but absolutely spectacular at the same time. Seeing Hamburg’s unique skyline from the water while also taking in its massive shipping yard and port was a sight to behold. I tried to take a time lapse to grasp the beauty of it all, but my lack of artistic ability really showed. Finally, we made it to Airbus and got an up close perspective on planes.
