The competition watching our amazing video.

In a stroke of genius Paige Davis sent us out on a “scavenger hunt” this Thursday. We split into teams of 5: Alpha Squadron, The Duce, Team 1 and team 4. Our assignment? Visit the designated location and make a video log about it. While Paige explicitly told us it was not a competition, we made it one. I’ve never seen the students working so hard on their videos. Friday evening came around and it was time to present the vlogs. Naturally, Daniel talked up our video for the full 24 hours beforehand and we had to go first. That was a mistake, we blew the competition out the water and everyone was too scared to present theirs after seeing our masterpiece. Although the other groups weren’t scared to present, the bar was set high after our video. I will say that the remaining videos didn’t disappoint. There was your classic wordless vlog with just scenic views of the university synced to some music and even one of a group doing parkour on the beaches of Hamburg. We even finished off watching Myer’s personal vlogs he makes every day for youtube! It truly was a great bonding experience and watching all the vlogs together after was a perfect way to unwind after having the longest class of the trip earlier that day. Hopefully we’ll have the opportunity to do this same assignment in other cites as well, because I think it’s safe to say this has been everyone’s favorite assignment yet!
